Who owns CadetNet?

Modified on Wed, 28 Dec, 2022 at 12:04 AM

CadetNet is entirely owned and operated by cadets, for cadets.  Every living area (i.e. squadron) owns all of the physical hardware present within the area, and CadetNet provides all of the cloud management and upgrade acquisition support to the living areas.

CadetNet is operated in a not-for-profit manner, meaning that any excess funds are re-invested into upgrades.  As a result, it is able to maintain extremely low monthly costs for end users.  In exchange, users are responsible for maintaining and upgrading their own infrastructure.  This allows users to troubleshoot and solve local issues on their own, without needing to wait for a big organization to respond to their support requests.

In essence, CadetNet's job is to provide all of the tools to achieve fast, cheap internet for all cadets.
